Electronic Portfolios

Hello everyone!

We want to promote ways that you can share your knowledge with others. For that, instead of a traditional final exam, we want you to create an electronic portfolio you are proud of and that demonstrates your learning in our course. As a review, our course goals are to:

  • CO 1. Describe in detail the goals, methodology, and results of a high-throughput (HT) or high-dimensional screen (HTS).
  • CO 2. Use a software tool to analyze HT data.
  • CO 3. Design an HT script for the epMotion 5075 TC or Opentrons OT-2 liquid handlers.
  • CO 4. Diagram a screen that was presented and create experimental alternatives/modifications.
  • CO 5. Explain how a liquid handler can be used to address a biological question.
  • CO 6. Critically analyze HTD study design to identify biases and produce resources using universal design for learning to share findings.

This is your final assignment and we want you to start as early as possible. Review the guidelines carefully (See guidelines here: BIT HTD S21 Portfolio Assignment and then select a high-throughput discovery topic you would like to investigate. See many examples from previous HTD students on WordPress site (go.ncsu.edu/htd) under ‘Topics.’

Final Portfolios are due on April 30th by 5 pm via Moodle.
