Grades Posted! Thank you, 2023 HTD!

Course grades have been submitted! We want to thank all of you for your enthusiasm and dedication. You brought energy, ideas, and experience. You were willing to share in posts, feedback to your peers, and responses to questions. We learned from your JoVE manuscripts and videos and encourage you to think about the methods, materials, and ways they could be improved. We congratulate you on your effort on challenging projects and this course!

We started the BIT 479/579 HTD course with this video (1:47 min).

The video intentionally has no voice over. You should now be able to describe the techniques/equipment used and think about creative applications of high-throughput (HT) technologies! What are they doing in the video, and how can I use this to answer my questions and advance my research?

Now that you have defined key terms, worked on case studies highlighting high-throughput sequencing, screening, and protein engineering… look around for additional sources of inspiration. They may be close to you! For example, the Genome Sciences Laboratory has high throughput technologies with KASP.

We also appreciate all you have taught us in this journey together.

We leave you with one last question: how will you incorporate HT approaches that are reasonable and useful for your goals?

Take care and keep in touch!
